Pick up your Tapas Passporte at the Tourist Office in Plaza de la Flores, Estepona before Friday 31st March and spend the weekend visiting any or all the twenty-one tapas bars participating in the VIII Ruta Tapas.

This year each bar has highlighted the tapas for which it is best known. You can enjoy a tortilla with bacalao and gambas (cod and prawns) at Bar Mena El Tobalo or a croquette of paella with leek mayonnaise at Bar El Tapeo. Just reading the specials makes me feel hungry.

The idea is to have a tapas and tubo, or wine, or even water, at each of the bars. They are spread out from the port right through the old town so you will get to appreciate the white houses and narrow, flower bedecked, streets. Get your passport stamped and when you have at least five stamps return it to the Tourist Office before the 5th April. There are 21 prizes to be won in a free raffle draw.

Visit Andalucia reborn

It has taken us 6 months but it was worth it, Visit Andalucia is back on line. The absence of articles has been noted by a few, OK so now I no longer have an excuse, business will be resumed immediately. It has been so long I have lost my pencil.

The site is much faster, more responsive and we think, looks a lot better. Please feel free to comment.

Since you are here ....

we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading Visit Andalucia than ever but advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. And unlike many organisations, we haven’t put up a paywall – we want to keep our articles available to as many people we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. The Visit Andalucia articles take a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe in the future of Andalucia – which may well be your perspective, too.

If everyone who reads our articles, who likes them, helps fund them, our future would be much more secure.

For as little as 1€ you can support Visit Andalucia – and it only takes a minute.

Thank you.
