Laguna de Fuente de Piedra Reserva Natural in Andalucia

With a length of 6.5 kilometres and width of 2.5 kilometres, the Fuente de Piedra lagoon is one of the two largest remaining in the Iberian Peninsula. It is home to a huge colony of Common Flamingo.

The lagoon was declared a Ramsar site in 1983, a nature reserve in 1984, a Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA) in 1988 and again in 2013 and a Special Area Conservation Area (ZEC) in 2013.
