Fiesta de la Matanza Ardales

The Fiesta de la Matanza in Ardales attracts people from all over Malaga province. It is a celebration of the pork products produced locally and is held on the first Sunday in February in the town square.

The fair opens at 12 noon. Thousands of small sandwiches containing chorizo, morcilla and salchichas are distributed to the huge crowd and other stalls have locally produced products, olive oil, pastries, sweet wine and bread.

From about 5pm there are musical performances in the square.
